Chinchillas are lovely creatures known for their fluffiness but did you know that they also have wonderful round butts?
Chinchillas are larger and more powerful than ground squirrels. They have the thickest fur of any mammal on the earth. They are found living in colonies called herds. Cameron Holmes of the United Kingdom has proven that their butts are similar to a perfect circle. Violet chinchillas are a breed of chinchillas with a purple tinge to their fur. Their distinctive color and round behinds make them almost too good to be true. But, according to Holmes, this is a breed trait, and it doesn’t require any special grooming or food to look this fluffy.

In the mornings, these animals clean themselves by taking dust showers for their purity. They also like to eat snacks and take naps too. “We turn the lights on and say good morning to all of the chinchillas, and each of them is waiting for their food hopper to be filled up,” Cameron has expressed. The name “chinchilla” was derived from the chincha people who lived in the Andes. And chinchillas are native to South America’s Andes Mountains, where their thick fur helps them to survive even in the toughest temperatures.
