The cutest things on the earth are sometimes hidden from our view. However, thanks to modern technology, these hidden items often brought to attention. Tanja Brandt, a German photographer, captured this charming moment when a small owl hid beneath a mushroom in the middle of the forest. The little owl was searched for a place to hide to avoid the rain outside and found its perfect shelter as a mushroom at the exact moment.

Owls, like hawks and eagles, are classified as raptors or birds of prey, which means they hunt, kill, and eat other prey with their sharp talons and bent bills. However, owls differ from hawks and eagles in many ways. Large heads, robust bodies, soft and smooth feathers, short tails, and a reversible toe that can point forward or backward characterize the majority of owls.

The eyes of an owl are forward-facing like humans do. As most owl species are active at night, they are classified as nocturnal birds. There are around 250 species of owls in the world. Except for Antarctica’s icy regions, they may be found in almost every continent. Many owls use a low-frequency vocalization, which permits their songs to travel over great distances without being absorbed by vegetation. Learning to recognize these songs and other vocalizations will help us locate and identify owls.
